Which guest questions actually repeat?
The repeat list is short, and it is largely the same across properties, because it is made of things a guest physically cannot work out on their own. Before writing anything, read back through your last twenty guest conversations and count. Most hosts are surprised by how few distinct questions there are, and by how many are already answered somewhere — in a listing description, a message template, a note on the fridge — just not anywhere the guest thinks to look.
- Getting in: the address, the parking situation, and the exact key or lockbox steps.
- Wi-Fi: the network name and the password, written out unambiguously.
- Using the property: heating, air conditioning, the oven, the washing machine, rubbish and recycling days.
- Leaving: checkout time, what to do with the keys, and what to switch off.
